Our projects are backed by robust partnerships with international financiers, ensuring sustainable, transparent and well-structured funding solutions.
From physical infrastructure to advanced ICT systems, our team and partners manage every operational and digital aspect of the border’s performance and reliability.
Through our Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) structure, we collaborate with government to modernise border facilities while delivering long-term value and efficiency.
Forbes Border Consortium holds the concession to modernise the Forbes Border Post, Zimbabwe's principal eastern gateway on the Beira Corridor, under a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) arrangement. The concession was granted in January 2025 by the Republic of Zimbabwe, through the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development.
The project is sponsored by Safaga International Management Limited (Safaga), a private-sector specialist in border infrastructure across Africa's trade corridors. Safaga backs a growing network of modern border posts designed to ease the flow of goods, cut queues and delays, and bring lasting benefit to the communities around each crossing.
At Forbes, this means turning one of the country's busiest crossings into a faster, safer and more transparent gateway, improving revenue collection for Government and the experience of every traveller and transporter who passes through.
Delivery is led by established construction and technology partners, with Forbes Border Consortium overseeing the project from build through to operation.
